Abstract
A 35 years old Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii var. viridis) and other 9 common species stands were analysed on two experimental plots, which sites are significantly different in climate and soil conditions. Detailed climate analysis and site surveying were carried out on these experimental plots. The structure characteristics and the litter volume in stands were compared. The conclusion: this species feels very good at both dissimilar sites. This young Douglas fir shows a powerful growing also in comparison to the common species at the different sites.
